The beginning of Philosophy for me

Like countless generations before me, I am now rediscovering Socrates and Plato...I am understanding that the concept of "the many" and the mindless mass ignorance which I have railed against for so long is one which is ancient. I hope I'm not one of the many, that I am not "normal"

Above all, I shall then be able to continue my search into true and false knowledge; as in this world, so also in the next; and I shall find out who is wise, and who pretends to be wise, and is not. (Socrates)

Humility is certainly a huge step toward enlightened intelligence. Arogance is a terrible inhibitor. Your quotes are great!!

Thanks Hisham,
I guess every guy thinks he is blazing a path towards his future, but one day looks back and realises it's just been a small dirt trail he's left behind, if that. I feel like that guy right now.

I hope we've had more Wassims in our particularly and cruelly obscurantized region of the world!
