Haitham Mana' (هيثم مناع) a Syrian writer and thinker: "The Globalisation of Prostitution" (in Arabic).

I've come across his writings before (very strong 'rights-based' perspective) but know little about the man, his website is here (it's awful by the way). He writes well and is extremely committed, something that I respect, but reminds me of a generation that's almost disappeared in Syria and the Arab world, the children of decolonisation. They are more comfortable with a European worldview since it defined their struggle against it, and I get the impression they feel bewildered and lost in the Arab world of today. I don't blame them.

*Just a quick clarification, I mean that the design of Mr Mana's site is awful and not the content.
