So sad and so true. When will we learn?

agreed Maysaloon.
When things hit rock bottom as we witness, one has to start looking from within. We have grown accustomed and programmed to the usual rhetoric of how the foreign, alien entity, the outsider, the colonialist, the invader is responsible right from the start. An easy answer to a complex dilemma that helps people sleep at night. when in fact, the cracks were showing from within our walls long ago. Muslims and Arabs alike are good at deflecting the responsibility, and dress their misery in a palatable format that can be swallowed. Hence stand passively watching massacres while rise in disgust over a cartoon.

How right you are, Wassim. Egypt won't open the border. Egypt and KSA and Abbas take the Israeli-American line: this massacre is the fault of the victims. Egypt and Jordan meet pro-Gaza demonstrations with tear gas and arrests. KSA imprisons a cleric calling for jihad against Israel, but funds those calling for jihad against the Shia.

God does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.

from Haaretz: In the past few days, Israel received almost identical signals from several moderate Arab states, formulated in language very different from the public condemnations they have issued recently: Go in if you must, but don't dare fail, they said. Another missed opportunity in the face of the Iranian emissaries in the region will be untenable.
