Al Jazeera English is now live!

So far I like what I see. They had begun broadcasting at midday London time and in spite of a few rough edges, they seem to be kicking off with some excellent stories from a Majority World perspective. I'd already made my comments regarding the BBC and CNN (Sky News is more of a media circus) and I'm happy that my non-Arabic speaking friends can now understand the perspective this channel brings. Whether it will be as good as the Arabic language version is still unclear.
